Scribbles & Sketches from WordCamp Kenya

Last weekend was a blast!

For the first time, WordCamp was being held in East Africa, and yes of course, I was there! We spent the weekend at Naivasha’s Crayfish Camp, and I got to experience that weird feeling when you meet tweeps that you’ve been following for ages and you finally get to put a (real) face and ethos to the twitter handle. The food was good, the talks and discussions were better (OK, am not too sure what was better), I got a chance to drop some Christocentric poetry, and a night spent in a tent was not as bad as I thought it would be. I should mention though that I stayed up most of the night preparing for the talk I was to give the following day.

Yes, I was speaking, and I was humbled to have been given the opportunity to share.

This post, however, is not about my talk… It’s just that during various times, I’d find myself sketching stuff on my sketch pad as people talked. When I finally got home and looked at the sketches, I remembered a post by Mark Kaigwa who shared some of the sketch notes he’d made while on an international trip to a conference (I think) he was speaking at. I wouldn’t call mine sketch notes, but they’re still sketches. So for what it’s worth, here’s a couple of screenshots of my artistic side.

If WordPress is your water, how do you bottle your offer? - my talk

Leg, go west!

Hope you liked it. Like, literally! :-)
